A Celebration of Community, Music and Culture in Colchester On Saturday, Soultribe Music had the pleasure of attending one of the fantastic community festivals held in the beautiful surroundings of Colchester Castle Park. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just an even. it was a celebration of the people who make our communities so vibrant.
Families filled the park, children enjoyed the amusements, and the air was filled with music, laughter and the incredible aromas of food from a wide range of cultures. It was a wonderful reminder that music and community have the power to bring people together regardless of background. One of the highlights for us was visiting the CLIP Music School area. With a small PA system set up beneath their banner, talented young musicians took turns performing pieces they have been learning and developing. Seeing the next generation gaining confidence, expressing themselves through music and being encouraged by the local community was genuinely inspiring. It was also fantastic to hear Project Lando playing tracks he has released through Soultribe Music, bringing our music into such a positive community setting.
Seeing independent music shared alongside local talent and surrounded by such a welcoming atmosphere perfectly reflects what Soultribe Music is all abou supporting artists, building communities and celebrating creativity. Events like this don’t happen by accident. They rely on passionate organisers, volunteers, performers, educators and local people all working together to create something special. The result was a relaxed, friendly and inclusive day that showcased the very best of Colchester’s community spirit. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the festival such a success.
We left feeling inspired by the talent, diversity and positivity on display throughout the day. We’ll certainly be looking forward to attending again in the future.
