Formulator

I have 2 producer names: Formulator: this producer name is for the harder stuff I make, such as Drum & Bass, Dubstep, more aggressive House... In general Formulator is for all the music I make which you can dance to with a beat, but I'm generalising! Maybe I don't understand too much about my own style, but I do know that I don't try to stick to a formula. I'm more of a formulator of random beats in a rough genre I want to make that day.

Insight

Insight: this side of my producer alter ego is softer and more laid back. I very easily rely on the Lo-fi Hip-Hop genre to get a general sound, such as big bassy kicks, phat distorted fx-ridden snares and high frequency starved hi hats. That always appeals to me. That matched with some crazy ass emotive synths and augmented instruments lathered with high doses of mad wobbly frequency shifting, phasing and other madness is all good news. Then again I could one day say nope, I'm looking for a different sound, and then just run with that! Sometimes that sound could be a softer house tune or even some mad atmospheric sounds with some boom bap drums. I love what I make when I love what I hear. You can quote me on that!

My influences for these styles are wide, as I listen to many types of music. When I'm making tunes it's all about flowing... About hearing something I like and just letting ideas come naturally. This is how I make my tunes in general. Sometimes I really like the sound of specific tunes, and then I'll try to emulate it in one way or another, but even these parameters aren't overly tight. Much love from Bristol
